Coming home to the place we started from is bittersweet, but we’re home

It wasn’t a long 3 weeks.  In fact, it flew by so fast, I don’t think Bea or I believe that we are actually done.  I was only half-joking with her today when I suggested that there are some people born for the road.  I wonder if we are those types of people.  Gypsies at heart, but living in a world that insists that we plant our roots deep into whatever soil we are born into, it feels sometimes that life is stealing us of our souls.  It’s late, and we’ve been driving all day, but I leave you with the picture above taken just outside of Calistoga yesterday.  There are so many more pictures to share from this trip.  Travel, my friends.  And if you ever get a chance to sleep out under the stars, away from houses and streetlights, do it.  It will change you back just a bit to the creature God intended you to be.
